Motivating Children

EMF has been and is continuing to use films to sensitize children to social and environmental issues… covering topics like AIDS, wildlife & environmental protection, health awareness etc. The film screenings are followed by a lively question and answer session and a discussion.
We have been screening our films on Wildlife and also episodes of our 104 films series called ‘Earth Matters’ which was made in collaboration with Doordarshan at various schools, colleges and other locations. Some of the leading institutions that have hosted our film shows are: -
Delhi Public School, Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Sanskriti School, Shree Ram School, Srishti School G. B. Pant Sarvodaya Vidyalaya, Maria’s Public School and NGOs like Spicmacay, Katha, Jan Madhyam and Spastic Society of North India have participated in it.
Every year, on the World Environment Day, a group of EMF volunteers have held special film shows at the Natural History Museum, the India Habitat Centre etc. Some of the popular films have been ‘Magic of Life’ and; ‘The Last Migration’
Feedback forms were given to children to share their thoughts about the issues raised.
